Srinagar, Feb 6 (KNS): While speaking on the occasion of prestigious function of youth against drugs, Khwaja Farooq Renzu Shah Chairman of Kashmir society emphasized that J&K should be declared wine free and drug free state without an y further delay.
The Function was organized by “Green World welfare Society” in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Srinagar Ministry of Youth Affairs ad sports Govt of India.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Farooq Lone, Mohammad Khalil Mir (District Officer NYC), M.A Samoon, Asstt. Director of Fisheries, Abdul Hamid Lone Senior Extension Officer Fisheries and Large No of youth along Sixty (60) youth clubs were present .
While Speaking on the occasion Renzu shah said that this valley is valley of aitqaad, trust, brotherhood and love. Dr.Amreen of Govt Medical Collage Highlighted scientific Harms of wine and drug.
The Deputy Commissioner Farooq Lone in his presidential address said that drug abuse is a challenge which is to be addressed .He said youth involvement to start antidrug campaign is very essential. He advised youth clubs to launch full-fledged campaign to start stop use of drugs and wine in state particularly in this valley of aitqaad.
He said That Enforcement agencies and Police have to play a Vital role in eradication of drugs use. He announced on the occasion that 97 lacs have been earmarked for renovation of Gani Stadium and Naqshband Sahib Stadium in Shari –Khas.
On conclusion of function Khwaja Farooq Renzu Shah and DC Farooq Lone conferred youth with awards and memento as well as sports. (KNS)
