Kashmir Sees Sharp Rise in Day Temperatures


Srinagar, May 22 (KNS): Several parts of Jammu and Kashmir recorded unusually high day temperatures on Thursday, with many places witnessing levels well above normal for this time of the year.

In the Kashmir region, Srinagar recorded 34.4°C, which is 9°C above normal, while Qazigund touched 33.5°C and Kokernag 33.3°C. Popular tourist spots like Pahalgam and Gulmarg also saw significant rises, recording 27.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel8°C and 25.4°C respectively.

In the Jammu region, Jammu city recorded 38.5°C, followed by Katra at 36.2°C. Banihal, Batote, and Bhaderwah also experienced warmer-than-usual temperatures.

Meanwhile, in Ladakh, Leh recorded a maximum temperature of 22.4°C.(KNS)
