Kashmir's Shia Community Protests Against Deadly Mosque Bombing in Pakistan

 Srinagar, Feb 06 (KNS): Protests were held across the Kashmir Valley on Friday evening as members of the Shia community demonstrated against a deadly suicide bombing at a Shia mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan. Officials stated the attack killed at least 31 worshippers and injured hundreds.

 
Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir News Service (KNS), the demonstrations—which expressed solidarity with the victims and condemned sectarian violence—took place in several locations. At these gatherings, protesters voiced strong disapproval, with slogans critical of the Pakistani establishment, including chants of “Pakistan Murdabad,” being reported.
 
The protests were a direct response to one of the deadliest sectarian attacks in Pakistan in recent years. According to media reports from Islamabad, a suicide bomber detonated explosives inside the mosque during Friday prayers, leading to significant casualties. (KNS)
