Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS): A complete shutdown is being observed across the valley to mark the 32nd anniversary of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) founder Maqbool Bhat who was hanged and buried in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on this day in 1984.
The shutdown and protests were called by separatists to press for the return of mortal remains of Bhat and Afzal Guru to their families.
Shops and other business establishments are closed across the Valley while public transport is off the roads.
The authorities have imposed restrictions in parts of Srinagar city and other major towns of the Valley to thwart the possible protests called by separatist leaders.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
