Srinagar, Jul 19 (KNS): Saying that the Kashmiri youth are talented but lack acting centre, the writer-producer, Harry Sachdeva Wednesday said that the Kashmir’s natural beauty is prompting the producers, directors to shoot the movies here.
Talking to KNS over phone, Sachdeva who is currently making a movie titled ‘Fatima’ based on a downtown girl in Kashmir said, “With the natural beauty in Kashmir, I believe that this place is less expensive than other countries. I opt to shoot my movie here with an aim to show the real culture, tradition, hospitality and especially ‘Kashmiriyat’ of Kashmiri people to the world.”
Stating that like other states, Kashmir is safe for everyone, the director of 31st October based on the aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination in 1984, said that “I believe Kashmir is safer place as others. I usually come back to my hotel at 2 in the night. I didn’t find any insecurity in Kashmir. I am short of words to express the humanity and hospitality of Kashmiris. People here are much cooperative. I have ever seen such hospitality in country or a state”
He further informed KNS that he is going to shoot more movies in Kashmir.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“I have two more subjects and I will certainly shoot my next movie here,” he said.
Sachdeva said that there are no theatres in Kashmir thereby they have decided to release this movie online so that the Kashmiris can easily access to watch the movie at their home. “A few producers release their directed or produced movies online and I am among the top 5 who are releasing the movies online. We have decided to release this movie online so that the people in Kashmir who don’t have theatres can enjoy at their home,” he said.
He also said that the Kashmiri youth are much talented but the lack of acting or training centre is keeping them in distance.
“I believe the Tourism sector in Jammu and Kashmir is doing a fine job but they should also create an acting or training centre in Kashmir so that the youth here can furnish his talent to enter into bollywood,” he added. (KNS)
