Karra reiterates vow to fight BJP’s vendetta politics, slams ED Summons to Rahul Gandhi

Srinagar June 22 (KNS):  Senior Congress Leader & CWC Member Tariq Hameed Karra on Wednesday reiterated that Congress will continue to fight against BJPs diversionary tactics and vendetta politics.

Karra also said the use of agencies against leadership won’t deter Congress party from fighting against the BJPs attempts to weaken the opposition inorder to hide its failures on all fronts.

In a meeting of Senior Party Leaders, DCC Presidents and prominent workers, frontal organizations etc at Srinagar Party Office CWC Member Tariq Hameed Karra slammed the unnecessary ED summons to Rahul Gandhi & Sonia Gandhi aiming to settle political scores on the part of BJP.

Karra said it is evident that BJPs agenda is to weaken the Congress Party by using Central agencies against it for the fact it is afraid of  it (Congress), which is the only unifying force in the country, but that doesn’t suit BJP given its wrong policies, misleading and vendetta politics.

Referring to the questioning of Rahul Gandhi, Karra said 58 hour questioning of Former AICC President in ED Office is longest as compared to procedural 11 hour questioning, since the ED could not extract anything, the questioning was prolonged, which has further exposed the BJPs attempt to tarnish the image of Congress leadership.

BJP’s politics of vendetta is reflective of its restlessness because it is the only Congress party which can make it(BJP) accountable and answerable to people  for the damages it has caused  to people on account of rising unemployment, inflation, poverty and various and economic crisis confronting every section of the country, Karra said.

Since it was BJPs slogan to make Congress Mukht Bharat, but they failed to do so with the result it is now using ED against the Congress, but they have failed in their endeavor.

Referring to the sale of public sector enterprises especially banks and other assets, Karra said recently the sale of famous Centaur Hotel has left 160 employees jobless, similarly thousands of people have been rendered jobless in other parts of the country, which is a matter of grave concern. There are hundreds of public sectors enterprises, which have been sold out to leading businessman by Modi Govt thereby witnessing huge losses to people, Karra added.

JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi while addressing expressed serious concern over the crisis in the country and asked the Centre Govt to take effective measures to address the concerns of citizens, besides rollback the new Army recruitment scheme AGNIPATH to restore confidence among the aspiring youth.

Among others who addressed included DCC Presidents Abdul Gani Khan, Imtiaz Parray, W.DCC President Mir.Ruvais, AICC Member Nissar Ahmad Mundoo, PCC office bearers, Corporators and various other Party leaders.(KNS)
