Srinagar, Mar 7 (KNS): Tariq Hameed Karra on Saturday expressed grief over the death of senior journalist Abdul Rashid Shah, chief editor and owner of Urdu daily Nida-e-Mashriq.
In a statement, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee said Shah’s death was a loss to the journalism fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir.
He described the late journalist as a widely respected public figure and said his work contributed to the media landscape of the region.
Karra expressed condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues of Shah and prayed for peace for the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the loss.(KNS
