Srinagar 9 Mar, (KNS):- In a embarrassment to administration, the resident of village Churkonji near the line of control in north kashmir's Kupwara district on Monday said the area is cut off from tehsil Headquarters from more than a month and no steps had been taken by the government to restore the road connectivity from Kona Gabra to Churkonji.
A delegation from Churkonji village told Kashmir News service (KNS) "Kona Gabra to Chukonji village road was blocked due to snowfall and authorities have so far failed to restore the road connectivity in the are.
According to residents the Churkonji village one of the remote village of Karnah having 60 household amidst lack of road connectivity "we forced to carry patients on shoulders to reach Kona Gabra some 4 K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelM away from Churkonji village due to lack of proper road connectivity in the village, no vehicle could pass through the village" the residents said.
This administration failure exposes the tall claim of having carried out development in the far flung area the aggrieved resident said.
Meanwhile due to recent snowfall in the area sadhna top Karnah Kupwara road got blocked on 5th consecutive day .
However the official said snow clearance operation was taken up to clear the road at the earliest.
