Kupwara, Oct 12 (KNS): The north Kashmir's Karnah tehsil in Kupwara district on Wednesday received the season's first snowfall, even as weather remained overcast across the region.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the upper reaches of Karnah tehsil received the snowfall today morning while the plains of the area also received light snowfall and rains.
The Karnah region mainly remains cut off during winters as the only road link from Kupwara to it remains closed during winters owing to heavy snowfall on Sadhna top.
Earlier, weatherman forecasted a brief spell of light rain or snow over higher reaches at scattered places of Kashmir, mainly North-West areas of Kupwara and Tangdar.(KNS)
