Karnah December 15:(KNS) After a fresh spell of heavy snowfall the Kupwara Karnah NH 701 got closed. After two days of blockage the NH-701 opens for traffic today by combined efforts of District admistration and beacon(BRO). It was said that there was 3 feet snow was recorded at Sadhna Pass. The Beacon did a brilliant job and work very hard to clear snow from the road. SDM Karnah Dr. Bilal Mohi-u-Din Bhat with collaboration of Beacon(BRO) and DC Kupwara did tremendous job to cleared the road in a record time of two days.
Today the traffic was allowed Tangdar to Kupwara. It was a great relief for the commons. As many students and govt. Employees was got stucked in Karnah due to blockage of NH-701. The opening of road provides a great relief to everyone. The locals also appreciated the combine efforts of the beacon and district admistration for their job.(KNS)
