Srinagar, Aug 11 (KNS): A day after Senior Congress leader, Dr Karan Singh said that J&K’s relation with India is “governed by Article 370”, Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Thursday said that statement made by Singh is good but these things are said when there is a crisis in Kashmir.
Mirwaiz told KNS that “when Nehru took the issue to UN and UN passed the resolution for holding of a referendum to which India and Pakistan agreed the accession lost its relevance
but it is good that Karan Singh ji is reminding them it was an accession subject to the outcome of self-determination and not a merger.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel”
He told KNS that the problem is that all these things are said when there is a crisis in Kashmir and then conveniently forgotten by these people.
“People of Kashmir don't buy all this anymore and that is why all these comments don't even warrant a reaction. It has become so predictable,” he said. (KNS)
