Srinagar, Jun 10 (KNS): Welcoming the Kathua rape-murder case verdict, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday advocated death penalty for rapes and said that it is time for all sections of the society to ponder why children as old as 8 years aren’t safe in our society.
Kadfeen said in a statement that there are demands being raised from all across that the rapists should be hanged to death and there should be no relaxation given to their punishment in any manner.
He also stated that as the verdict has come and society is feeling euphoric, it is our collective responsibility as the society to urge government to take concrete actions to curb sexual crimes against women.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
A system in which the polices accountability is fixed and enough fast track courts are there to ensure punishment to accused within six months has to be implemented at an earliest so that our women in our society feel secure enough to walk freely and work in a protected environment. (KNS)
