Bandipora, Apr 13 (KNS): Justice Wasim Sadiq Nargal, Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Administrative Judge for District Bandipora, on Monday visited the district and directed that the newly constructed District Court Complex at Kaloosa be made fully operational within one week.
During his day-long visit, Justice Nargal conducted an administrative inspection of the existing court complex and later visited the new court complex, where he also held separate meetings with judicial officers, district administration, the executing agency, and members of the Bar Association.
The Judge reviewed infrastructure, court functioning, record rooms, litigant facilities, and readiness of the new complex for shifting. He stressed the need for coordinated efforts among stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and timely completion of pending requirements.
Addressing a formal programme at the new court complex, Justice Nargal underlined that district courts form the foundation of the justice delivery system and are not “lower courts,” but the first and most critical point of access to justice for citizens.
He observed that technology, including e-filing, video conferencing, and digital records, should be effectively used to improve efficiency and reduce delays, especially in regions with geographical constraints.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He also interacted with members of the Bar Association, who raised demands related to basic amenities, full-time functioning of courts, and establishment of a Consumer Court in the district.
The Judge assured that issues related to infrastructure and functioning would be addressed in a time-bound manner and directed that both short-term and long-term requirements be clearly assigned with deadlines and responsibility.
He also lauded the role of judicial officers and members of the Bar in the administration of justice and emphasised that efficiency and fairness must remain central to court functioning.
The visit concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bandipora.(KNS)
