Srinagar, Apr 17 (KNS): Chairman of the State Accountability Commission (SAC) and former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Justice Bashir Ahmad Khan on Tuesday urged the people to come forward in filing complaints regarding corruption, favouritism and nepotism, inaction, abuse of powers in government functioning with the Commission.
Justice Khan was speaking to KNS while launching the commission’s awareness programmes to inform the public in general about the object and purpose of the commission and its functioning.
He said that people were hesitant in approaching the commission for various reasons.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelThough it provided a good forum for the people to ventilate their grievances against government functioning and for ensuring transparent and accountable government. Justice Khan said that the commission provided a speedy forum at no cost the people for redressal of their grievances and that public should make that use of this forum if they want good governance and if they want the governmental functionaries to be made accountable.
