J&K emerges overall champion, Himachal Pradesh runner-up

Gulmarg, Feb 11 (KNS): Junior National Ski and snowboarding championship 2021, in which Jammu and Kashmir emerged as the overall champion while Himachal Pradesh as runner-up, concluded here on Thursday.  

An official told news agency KNS that an award ceremony was held at the tourist Gulmarg to honor the winnerr and best performers of the event. 
 
He said that during the award ceremony 18 Gold medals, 18 silver medals, 18 Bronze medals were distributed among the participants and second place winners were awarded medals in the Junior Ski Championship.

In addition, prizes were distributed to the winners of other positions correspondent Aadil Dar was also awarded on the occasion. 

The official said that players from 12 states participated in this championship, which was organized by Winter Games Association of J&K and sponsored by J&K Sports Council.

Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Mohammad Aijaz Asad was the chief guest at the award ceremony.

Apart from SDM Gulmarg, President Winter Games Association Jammu and Kashmir and former MLA Gulmarg Mohammad Abbas Wani, SSI India President Ladhar Thakur, General Manager Gulmarg and Manager Gondola, Secretary Sports Council, CEO GDA, BMO Tangmarg  other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
