Srinagar, Jul 13 (KNS): Democratic Liberation Party (DLP) on Wednesday said that Junaid Qureshi, a senior party leader was not expelled from the party.
In a statement issued to KNS, DLP chairman, Hashim Qureshi said, “Junaid was not expelled from the party as he is a respected member of the party and remains so.”
“Junaid has been instrumental in representing JKDLP at various international forums like the UN and the European Parliament. He has always highlighted the plight of the people of Jammu & Kashmir and struggled for a dignified solution,” Qureshi said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
JKDLP endorses his views regarding the prevalent situation in Kashmir. “The party also owns and concurs with his statements in which he has appealed for peace and reiterated that violence is not a solution to the Kashmir-Issue,” he said.
The party chief shall personally preside over an enquiry to establish the nefarious elements behind this rumor and appropriate legal action shall be taken. (KNS)
