Srinagar, Sep 11 (KNS): Apni Party Zadibal cadre on Sunday organised a public meeting at DD Bagh, Hawal which was presided by Mayor Srinagar & Party's State Youth President Junaid Azim Mattu alongwith Coordinator Zadibal Constituency Showkat Ahmad Mir.
Besides, Youth Provincial Secretary Kashmir Imran Bhat, Party Youth Leader Imtiyaz Ali, Niyaz Ahmad, Hashim Ahmad, Arshad Hussain, Inayat Ali, Muntazir Ali, Nazim Ali, Bilal Ali, Abid Khan, Hadi Ali and Mohd. Yusuf Beig were also present.
Speaking at this meeting, Junaid Azim Mattu said that Zadibal is undoubtedly a prime constituency in Srinagar city but has lost its glory due to the vicious neglect of its former MLAs who possessed very little modicum knowledge of this constituency.
"The sufferings and demands of people of this area have been brought under my notice & it shall be my prime motto to get them resolved in a time-bound manner. It hurts me personally to see that how public truths has been misused and abused by leaders in the past who had shouldered the responsibility of the welfare of people. But people know it well now & their deceitful politics is overtly exposed," he said.
Showkat Mir, Coordinator Zadibal Constituency, also spoke on this occasion thanking Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu for listening to public grievances and assuring them of all possible support.
"I must say that politics of emotionalism & false promises has witnessed it's death now and those politicians who have played with the sentiments & expectations of the people can never be trusted again with public mandate. Zadibal will speak this time and it will speak loud and clear. Corruption & nepotism shall find no space here. Come what may," he said.
Party leaders including Imran Bhat also lauded the efforts of Apni Party leadership especially Junaid Azim Mattu for taking pains to redress the troubles of local inhabitants of Zadibal Constituency.
The people present on this occasion raised their concerns with the incumbent Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu who were reassured for its prompt mitigation.(KNS)
