On the sacred and momentous occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida, the President of the Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference (ANC), Begum Khalida Shah, and Senior Vice President Muzaffar Shah extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the Union Territory and the Muslim Ummah worldwide.
In a joint message issued here on Friday, the ANC leadership underscored the immense spiritual and historical significance of the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. "It is a day that reminds the faithful of the values of unity, justice, compassion, and steadfastness in the face of challenges," they said.
Begum Khalida Shah and Muzaffar Shah emphasized that the true spirit of Ramadan and Jumat-ul-Vida calls upon people to stand for justice, truth, and the dignity of humanity. "The teachings of Islam inspire societies to uphold peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect while remaining firm against oppression and injustice," the leaders stated.

Expressing hope that the blessed occasion would bring renewed strength and unity, the leaders specifically prayed for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. They urged people to pray for those who continue to face hardship and uncertainty in the region.
The ANC leaders also made a fervent appeal to the public to remember the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society, urging them to extend generosity and compassion in the true spirit of Ramadan.
Praying for the acceptance of prayers and fasting, Begum Khalida Shah and Muzaffar Shah concluded by hoping that "Allah Almighty blesses Jammu and Kashmir with peace, harmony, and a brighter future." (KNS)
