JKPM rejects delimitation commission's interim report

Jammu February 5:(KNS)   Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement held meeting of Office bearers today at Jammu to discuss various issues of prevailing situations of Jammu and Kashmir, President Jammu and Kashmir People's Movement Dr Gh Mustafa Khan presided the meeting including Senior Vice President JKPM Dr M Hussain, Cheif Organizer Mir Mudasir Rashid, Minorty President Ashok Kumar Karihallu, Vice president Minority Mr Surinder Singh Pappi, Provincial President S S Thapa, Vice President Prabhat Sharma, Additional General Secretary Javid Ahmad Khan, State Secretary  Umer Shafi Rather and Political Advisor to President  Imtiyaz Aalam.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), JKPM leaders discussed various issues of party affairs as well as other general public issues in the said Meeting.

JKPM leader said that Centre government are Aelinating people from mainstream politics by divisive policies of BJP as per the recent interim delimitation report submitted by delimitation commission, the division of years of old existing constituencies and creation of new unjustified constituencies are not acceptable to the people of Jammu and Kashmir as creation of new constituencies is complete process of demographic changes in Jammu and Kashmir.

JKPM Leaders further said our party is rejecting the interim report of delimitation commission for the interests of people of Jammu and Kashmir as people of Jammu and Kashmir are being divided to fulfill the divisive agenda of BJP and it is not acceptable.

JKPM urged delimitation commission to reconsider the objections submitted by parliament Members of Kashmir province and complete the delimitation process and create new  constituencies as per current population of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
