Srinagar, Mar 01 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Sunday condoled the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and postponed all its scheduled programmes for the day.
JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra led the party unit in expressing grief over the death of the Iranian leader in what officials in Tehran described as joint US-Israeli air strikes.
"The party has strongly condemned the air strikes on the Iranian Supreme Leader, terming it an inhuman, barbaric, and cowardly act on the part of the US and Israel," a party spokesman said quoting a resolution passed by the unit.

Karra expressed heartfelt condolences over the martyrdom of the Supreme Leader and said the people of Jammu and Kashmir share the grief of the Iranian people at this moment of loss.
In light of the incident, the party has postponed all political activities and programmes that were scheduled to be held across the region today, the spokesman added. (KNS)
