Jammu, Jan 7(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has deeply mourned the demise of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and paid rich tributes to him.
Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Ghulam Ahmed Mir expressed deep shock over the sad demise of Mufti Sahib and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the family.
In his condolence message, Mir described Mufti Sahib as a great statesman and visionary leader, who served the people of the state in different capacities during his long political career. During his long association with Congress party, he successfully led the party with dynamism and spread its principles against all odds. He remained associated and closely in touch with the grass root workers, who always admired his leadership qualities.
Mir paid rich tributes to Mufti Sahib on behalf of the entire rank and file of the party and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family members and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Mir flew from Delhi to Srinagar today morning, to join his last rites. (KNS)
