BJP’s divisive politics not acceptable:  Vikar Rasool Wani

Srinagar, Jan 05 (KNS):- The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Saturday accorded rousing reception to newly appointed All India Congress Committee AICC J&K Incharge and Former Union Minister Bharatsinh Solanki  and AICC General Secretary Incharge West Bengal/Jharkhand  G.A.Mir on their arrival at Banihal and Anantnag.

JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani and other Senior Leaders of the Party accompanied both Solanki & Mir while Congress workers in large numbers assembled at Banihal and Anantnag to welcome the leaders. There was enormous enthusiasm among the party cadres over the presence of senior leaders after taking over their important  respective assignment.

Later, the leaders addressed a massive Congress worker’s convention at Dak-Bungalow Khanbal in Anantnag district where they asserted that Congress will put in its strenuous efforts to wipe out BJP and fight the upcoming Lok Sabha elections  with great vigor and vitality.

Bharat Solanki and G.A.Mir  were the Guest of Honour in the worker’s convention held at Dak Bungalow Khanabal, while JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani presided over, which was also addressed  by Tariq Hameed Karra, CWC member, AICC Jt. Secretary Manoj Yadav, JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla, Former Dy.C.M.Tara Chand, Former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohd Sayeed and others.

Congress workers celebrated the elevation of G.A.Mir as AICC General Secretary and hailed Party High Command for this decision.

Addressing the convention AICC Incharge Bharatsinh Solanki said in his address that  Congress Party is fully  prepared to overcome  the divisive and misleading politics of BJP, which is responsible for the chaos and confusion in the country, although many tall claims are being made to build the fake narrative with regard to inclusive development, employment generation and many other things pertaining to public, but the reality is contrary to the ground situation,  which reflects that the Nation has been pushed towards darkness especially economic distress, unemployment coupled with lack of development and false promises that are being made to divert the attention of the people from the real issues.

Reacting to the current socio-political and security situation in J&K, Solanki said there is restlessness among the public in Jammu and Kashmir given the denial of  democratic rights aiming to disempower them politically and economically. What the people of J&K achieved after reorganization of the full-fledged State, Solanki questioned, adding that downgrading of J&K into two UTs was an unfortunate move done by the BJP inorder to  rule J&K  directly from the Centre  which tantamounts  to dismantling the  very foundation of the democracy.

He said Congress Party will ensure respite to people of J&K by defeating the designs  and wrong policies of BJP, urging the Party workers to feel strong and work harder to defeat the fake narratives which are being built by the BJP to mislead the public and hide failures on all fronts.

Addressing the convention, AICC General Secretary G.A.Mir termed the Congress a hope for all Indians, which had ensured a tremendous development of the country in all respects and is struggling to ensure equitable justice to every section of the people living in the country. He said Congress has given sacrifices for the Nation, which could not be replaced by anything, at the sametime, Mir took a jibe on the BJP for disempowering people economically and benefitting its corporate friends at the cost of Country’s economy, which has suffered severe setbacks since the it (BJP) assumed power at Centre. The uncompromising fight of Congress Party against BJP’s open loot, misleading and vendetta politics shall continue, till it (BJP) is wiped out. People want change, which is set to happen in the country for the betterment of the public, besides inclusive development of India.

Congress is playing the role of strong and constructive opposition and there will be no compromise on people's urges, aspirations and their rights which are under assault under the ruling dispensation at Centre, Mir added.

Referring to the Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, G.A.Mir said the Yatra had the potential to change the political direction in the country, which was harmed by the hate and divisive agenda of the BJP,  the Yatra brought the derailed political process at the track, which doesn’t suit BJP for the fact, it (BJP) is spreading hate for the lust of power. The next leg of BJY “Bharat Jago Nayai Yatra” will change the political direction in the country, Mir added.

JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani while speaking on the occasion termed the divisive policies of BJP unacceptable and said Congress Party is capable enough to defeat the designs of BJP, which is hellbent upon to divide people on religious lines for electoral gains.
