Srinagar, March 14 (KNS): Stressing upon a need to expedite the market checking particularly in Shia-dominated areas Youth General Secretary Organization JKPC Mudasir Karim has said that in wake of the coming of Novroz e Alam, the government needs to ensure proper maintenance of prices of all the commodities and appropriate supply of essentials in wake of Novroz e Alam in the valley.
He said that as Novroz e Alam is being celebrated on the 21st of March and the holy month of Ramadhan is commencing the very next day for which Muslims have a large significance in Islamic belief the government should prepone the recent PHE Departments decision to cutoff of water supply on 20th March in Srinagar city.
Urging the LG administration to ensure 24X7 electricity / water supply on that day, appropriate supply of essential commodities including ration, LPG, Sugar, K-oil etc in all the Shia areas and also proper stock of Lotus stem (Nadru), Trout Fish, Poultry etc need to be ensured at eased rated so that no burden of the exorbitant price of commodities affect the middle and lower class of society on the auspicious day.
