JKP officers paper selected for 48th All Indial Police Science Congress

Srinagar, Apr 14 (KNS): Paper of Jammu and Kashmir police officer, Firdous Iqbal has been selected for 48th All India Police Science Congress (AIPSC) scheduled to be organised on 22-23 April, in Bhopal.

According to a statement, the theme for the paper is “Human Resource Management & Wellness” (Leadership Mentoring Wellness) under topic “Mentoring Scheme” (Career Development Programme) for officers (up to the level of Additional Superintendents of Police) to be institutionalized.

The statement reads that Firdous Iqbal is the only Police Officer from J&K whose paper has been selected for the said Congress.

“With this paper he has the honour of being the only Police officer of J&k Police whose papers were selected in three Police Science Congresses including one in 36th AIPSC at Gandhi Nagar Gujarat in 2005 on the theme” Restructuring and Redefining Constabulary for Better Policing” & in 39th AIPSC held at Guwahati Assam in 2009 on “Key Performance Indicators for various posts, units, rank in Police.”

It reads that in addition, the officer was delegated to 37th AIPSC held at Banglore in 2006 on the theme” Training Strategy to Effect Behavioural and Attitudinal Change in Police Personnel” besides paper selected in the Colloquium ”Respecting and Recognizing Research” held by Bureau of Police Research and Development at New Delhi in 2006 on the theme “Innovative Orginazational Initiative for Promoting People’s Respect for Police:A Challenge Before Police Leadership”

“The officer also has the honour of being the receipent of maiden national award “Certificate of Appreciation” for achieving high standards of passport service delivery to citizens during the 2013-14,” it reads. (KNS)
