JKP competent enough to tackle, investigate terror cases: IG Kashmir

Inspector General Police, Kashmir Thursday said that state police was competent enough to tackle and investigate terror related cases happening within its jurisdiction, and added that National Investigation agency has not established any base here.
“NIA has not established any base in Kashmir. They have only come to investigate the Udhampur terror incident, and whatever they are doing here is related to that case only,” IG Kashmir Syed Mujtabha Geelani told KNS.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Apart from that they (NIA) have no jurisdiction in J&K,” he said.
Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani in a statement a day before has said that setting up of office camps in Srinagar, Anantnag, Jammu and Udhampur by the NIA was the “clear violation of the special status and constitution of the state and this action does not have any legal and moral justification”.
