Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) on Thursday condemned the ongoing spree of arrests, nocturnal raids and intimidating political workers and their families.
While condemning the shifting of JKLF zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri from police station Kothibagh to central jail Srinagar, JKLF in a statement issued to KNS said that “police and forces are harassing JKLF activists and their families in Hajin area.”
“Police has arrested the father of JKLF activist Aijaz Ahmad in his place and the residences of JKLF district organizer Mushtaq Ahmad Wani and activist Zahoor Ahmad Parray are continuously being raided,” JKLF said.
While condemning the prolonged incarceration of JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik who is still admitted in ICU of SKIMS, JKLF vice chairmen advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, zonal senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, District president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), JKLF activists Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Ganderbal , Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Kupwara, Assadullah Sheikh of Kulgam, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik Kokernagh, sahib khan Trehgam and Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Kunanposhpora and thousands of innocents, youth and students who are languishing in jails and police stations, JKLF said that “the spree of arrests, nocturnal raids and terrorizing peaceful political activists, leaders and their families is most undemocratic and act of unilateral violence putting thousands of people behind bars and widespread use of black laws to suppress peoples voices has exposed the hollowness of the tall claims of democracy and battle of ideas,” said JKLF.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel(KNS)
