‘Oppressors can never defeat will of Kashmiri people’

Srinagar, Sep 24 (KNS): While strongly condemning the ongoing killing spree in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation front (JKLF) vice chairman, Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt said that “the brutal killing of yet another Kashmiri son Wasin Ahmad Lone of Nadihal and injuring hundreds is again exposing the cruel face of Indian democracy in Jammu Kashmir.”
In a statement issued to KNS, Butt said that this is again proving the ugliness of ‘Indian Hitlerism’ in Kashmir that is being practiced here under the garb of ‘so-called democracy’.
Terming the ‘cruel, torturous and gruesome’ behavior against JKLF chairman in jail, Butt said that “ailing JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested by police on 8th July 2015 and from then he is being constantly shifted from one detention center to another.”
He said five days ago, Yasin was shifted to Humhama JIC from Humhama police station and was put into a lonely cell where no one other than rats and mosquitos are present. “JKLF chairman was recently taken to a private hospital for medical checkups and treatment where his medical tests regarding his heart ailment came dangerously disturbing. Instead of providing him any kind of proper medical facility, callous authorities shifted him back to the dilapidated cell and put him back in solitary confinement. Shabby condition in which Yasin has been put has threatened his life and besides other ailments he has developed a severe pain in his leg and state of affairs is such that proper bedding for him was not provided by the authorities and same had to be sent from his home.”
Butt said that even prisoners of war are not ill-treated like ‘so-called’ Indian democracy and its Kashmiri propagators are treating political leaders.
He said that tortures, ill-treatments, Jails and detention centers are not new for JKLF and its chairman but the present oppression against him is exposing the ill-mindedness and unethical attitude of ‘so-called’ rulers.
While strongly condemning the ongoing ‘operation oppression’ in Kashmir, Butt said that on 22nd September 2016 two brother in laws of JKLF senior zonal vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt were arrested by police and both of these innocent person were shifted to SOG camp cargo.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Both these innocents have been arrested in place of Yasin Butt who because of his heart ailment was released by police from its custody recently 31st July 2016.”
Advocate Butt said that the residence of Meraj ud din Shah and Khalid shah brother in laws of JKLF leader Muhammad Yasin Butt was raided by police and forces on 21st September 2016. “After not finding Yasin Butt there police asked his brother in laws to present themselves at police Chowki Chanpora from where both of them have been send to SOG camp cargo.”
JKLF vice chairman said that arresting kith and kin, relatives and friends of youth and resistance leadership shows the level of mental and moral bankruptcy of so-called rulers and their police authorities. “Is this the model of democracy, morality, healing touch and battle of ideas, PDP led rulers and their authorities believe in,” Butt asked.
He said that by unleashing these kinds of unethical and undemocratic oppressive methods for suppressing peaceful political leaders and youth, rulers and occupational authorities are actually promoting a worst kind of vicious behavior in Kashmir that may prove detrimental for the whole society.
Butt also condemned the continuous detention and house arrest of thousands of youth and schoolchildren, resistance leaders like Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, Dr.G.M.Hubi, Muhammad Altaf shah, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Ayaz Akbar ,Fayaz Ahamd and others and said that by caging down thousands and turning whole Kashmir into a military garrison, India and its ‘Kashmiri stooges’ cannot defeat the popular movement for freedom of Jammu Kashmir and this suppression will yield them nothing but shame.
