Srinagar, Nov 23 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) has expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition of prisoners languishing in different jails of Jammu Kashmir including different jails in Kashmir valley, Kotbalwal jail, Kuthuwa, Hiranagar, Jammu Jails.
While condemning the atrocities being committed on prisoners especially the youth arrested during recent times, JKLF said that prisoners are being terrorized by different oppressive means by the rulers.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKLF said that in Kotbalwal and other jails, even medical facilities are being denied to inmates. JKLF said that young prisoners and resistance leaders and activists are being put into solitary cells in Kotbalwal jail for days.
While expressing concern over the worsening health condition of various inmates including JKLF vice chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal, JKLF vice president zone Muhammad Yasin Butt, Hurriyat leaders Muhammad Ashraf Laya and doctor Ghulam Muhammad Hubbi and others JKLF also condemned the prolonged incarceration of JKLF leaders and activists including ailing JKLF vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal (Kotbalwal jail), ailing zonal senior vice president Muhammad Yasin Butt, zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, District president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) , JKLF activists Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Ganderbal , Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Kupwara, Assadullah Sheikh of Kulgam, Molvi Reyaz of Sopore, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik Kokernagh, sahib khan Trehgam , Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Kunanposhpora and thousands of other innocents , youth and students are languishing in jails and police stations.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
JKLF chairman also condemned the continuous arrest and house arrest of APHC leaders including APHC (G) chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani, APHC (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Muhammad Umer Farooq, Dukhtaran I Millat chief Mtr Aasiya Andarabi, Hurriyat leaders Shabir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Bilal Ahmad Sideequi, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, Ayaz Akbar, Muhammad Ashraf Laya, Doctor G M Hubbi and others.
