JKHCBA Removes VP, General Secretary for ‘Unauthorized Actions’

Srinagar, May 27 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association (JKHCBA) has removed its Vice President, Mubashir Majid Malik, and General Secretary, S. Jeetender Singh, from their posts and basic membership over alleged “unauthorized actions” and conduct considered harmful to the Association’s interests.

According to a formal order — a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS) — both office-bearers failed to respond to a show-cause notice issued on May 21. The notice sought an explanation for organizing events without the approval of the Association's Core Members and for engaging in activities deemed damaging to its reputation, objectives, and unity.

In a recently held General Body meeting, members resolved to remove the duo with immediate effect, citing violations of the Association’s bylaws.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

“Mubashir Majid Malik is formally removed from the position of Vice President… and from basic membership,” the order reads. Similarly, “S. Jeetender Singh is formally removed from the position of General Secretary… and from basic membership.”

Both have been instructed to return all official documents, files, and the membership register within two days. Failure to do so may result in legal action to recover the Association’s property.

The order, signed by the Joint Secretary, emphasized that the step was necessary to protect the integrity of the Association.(KNS)
