Srinagar, Jul 25 (KNS): Welcoming the statement of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai regarding the unity of resistance camp, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that the statement is welcome as broader unity is the basis of our success.
JKDFP Secretary General, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement issued to KNS that incarcerated leader Shabir Ahmad Shah had repeatedly emphasized the need to restore the 1993 constitution of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and unite all resistance parties under it.
“Our party has always advocated the need to broaden the unity among the resistance leaders so that unity is felt at national level,” he said.
Hailing the statement of Sehrai, Tari said that Freedom Party welcomes the statement of Sehrai that unity limited to few leaders and parties cannot yield any results.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“The policy of our incarcerated leader from day one has been that unity can minimize our sufferings and our goal will come closer,” he said.
Terming the statement of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai as ‘timely’, Tari said that unity was and is a necessity and to restore the1993 APHC constitution is the only way out for a broader unity among the resistance parties.The time is ripe to forge a unity among all so that the nation feels empowered, Moulana Tari said.
Meanwhile, JKDFP spokesperson paid tributes to Anantnag martyrs who achieved martyrdom while fighting Indian forces in the south Kashmir town. The spokesperson while paying tributes to slain Bilal Ahmad Dar alias Bin Yamin Dar son of Mohammad Yousuf Dar of Sofi Mohalla Khudwani Kulgam and his associate, said that sacrifices of martyrs will safeguarded at any cost.
