Srinagar, Mar 31 (KNS): Expressing serious concern over the unabated human rights violations including harassment and detention of youth and the frequent search operations carried out by Indian forces in every nook and corner of the disputed territory, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Partry (JKDFP) today said that every oppressive measure is destined to fail before people’s aspirations and valor.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKDFP Secretary General, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari urged the world human rights bodies to take strong notice of these human rights violations committed by the Indian forces in the Kashmir valley in particular.
“We strongly condemn the harassment of people and vandalizing of properties in the name of cordon and search operations (CASOs) in length and breadth of Kashmir," Moulana Tari said. He maintained that justice continued to elude the residents of the disputed region even after the passage of seven decades.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Moulana Tari said that rising graph of human rights violations in Kashmir should serve as an eye-opener for the world human rights bodies. He impressed upon the world community to use their good offices to stop India from harassing the youth of Kashmir, insulting even the old and women and arresting everyone who tries to raise voice against the continuous Indian tyranny.
He said that our party leader, Shabir Ahmad Shah and hundreds of others have been placed behind bars to suppress the voices of oppressed Kashmiris. Shabir Shah and other political prisoners are facing fabricated charges and they are deprived of their basic rights in different jails. On the other hand the whole nation is suffering at the hands of Indian forces and their collaborators, Moulana Tari said, and added that militarization has turned the whole disputed region into a garrison.
