Srinagar, Aug 11 (KNS): A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today attended the prayers function at Mazar-e-Shuhada which was organised to remember Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his tenth martyrdom anniversary. The delegation was led by Er Farooq and it included Ghulam Rasool Nawaz, Mohammad Amin rather, Mohammad Yousuf Mir and others.
The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party delegation took part in the joint prayers offered for Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz and all the martyrs of Kashmir.
The participants remembering Shaheed-e-Azimat Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his tenth martyrdom anniversary said that Shaheed-e-Azimat and his role in the ongoing freedom struggle will always be remembered.
Pertinently, Shaheed-e-Azimat and incarcerated JKDFP chief Shabir Shah have spent lot of time together and faced hardships jointly in the way of freedom.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelBoth the leaders led historical ‘Uri Challo’ march during 2008 Intifada in which Shaheed-e-Azimat was martyred by the men in uniform near Chahel Uri on August 11, 2008.
The participants said Shaheed-e-Azimat, Sheikh Abdul Aziz had dedicated his life to the great cause of Freedom. He lived for the cause of freedom and laid down his life for the same.
Reiterating that the sacred mission of Shaheed-e-Azimat and all other martyrs will be taken forward at any cost, the participants said that nation is indebted to Shaheed-e-Azimat who are the real assets and torch bearers of the ongoing freedom struggle. (KNS)
