JKCSF expressed grief over the demise of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai

Srinagar May 05:(KNS) Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum, expressing grief over the demise of Kashmir’s political leader Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in incarceration, in a condolence statement issued here Forum Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani described Sehrai as an honest and towering leader in the political struggle of Jammu and Kashmir

 

“The death of ‘Sehrai’ like leader in incarceration instead of home among his family is unfortunate. JKCSF has been apprising the stakeholders of the health conditions of ailing and aged detainees for past two years and demanding their release or shift to Srinagar to relieve them and their family sufferings but the demand was ignored till now” reads the statement    

 

Reiterating its demand of releasing / shifting Kashmiri detainees comprising sisters, senior citizens and political leaders and other youth, Wani said the demise of Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in incarceration should be an eye opener to analyze the bad health condition of detainees.

 

JKCSF paid rich tribute to Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai for his contribution to humanity, culture, brotherhood and Kashmir politics. Forum expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
