Srinagar, Nov 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has appealed the people across the length and breadth of Jammu and Kashmir to use their ability and influence for stopping the array of civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement issued here Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani in the backdrop of the Hyderpora-Srinagar civilian killings has  appealed the all sections of the people of JK irrespective of cast, creed, religion and the political thought to get united  and use their influence and raise the genuine voice against the atrocities and the innocent civilian Killings that have been taking place in Jammu and Kashmir with impunity now and after every incident a new incident remains a news for this misfortunate society, the statement said.

Referring to the heart-rending protest cry of the families of the slain persons at Hyderpora in Srinagar, JKCSF chairman said that what else was enough to know the innocence about the slain persons to believe that they were only and only mere civilians.

Wani said such incidents have been happening in Kashmir earlier too and there have been no probes into such civilian killings. “Had the authorities probed and justice delivered in such incidents, next it would had not have happened to any father, sister or a spouse to loose the beloved”.

Wani said  as the hearts of the common Kashmiris are torn by pain, with this fresh incident, JKCSF vehemently appeals all sections of the society to keep the differences and political thought aside and raise their voice and use influence to stop any further such incident where a civilian is killed and human life becomes such cheaper.

JKCSF in the statement said that killing a civilian and denying the family the dead body was inhuman and the war crime and there should be a probe by the justice delivering institutions of a large democracy. (KNS)
