JKCSECC holds emergency meet

Urges government to consider their issues

Srinagar, Mar 09 (KNS): J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee on Friday held an emergency meeting under the chairmanship of Ghulam Rasool Mir, Chairman Coordination Committee.
Besides, Maqbool Hussain President Lower Grade Employees Union, all office bearers and Executive Members also participated in the meeting.
According to the statement issued to KNS, during the course of the meeting, it was observed that the Government is not serious to resolve the cadre review of the employees.
“While taking overall view of the Governments stand it was noticed that the issues are being tossed from one corner to another only to kill the time. Though the Chief Minister had at times made the commitment for resolving the important issue of cadre review of all non-gazetted employees viz; GAD, Planning, Accounts and Legal Services for which the committee was constituted,” the statement reads.
The meeting also urged the government to consider their issues.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They said that illegal induction/ promotion of Direct Recruits into KAS particularly 2008 batch against the slots meant for feeding Services (promotees) thereby diverting the quota, which is against the spirit of Supreme Court Judgment.
“GAD (Services) is of the habit of raising un-necessary queries / observations while making promotions in feeding services thereby keeping the promotions of 2009 and 2010 hanging in balance since long,” they said.
“Despite approval of the HCM and followed by concurrence of Finance Department, the recommendations of the Cadre Review Committee are being deferred deliberately thus forcing the employees on the path of confrontation/ agitation,” they said.
The J&K Civil Secretariat Employees, Coordination Committee has decided to go on indefinite strike from today 9th March, 2018 (AN). All employees shall assemble in the Secretariat Lawns to participate in the programme. (KNS)
