Srinagar, Jul 4 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Peace and Justice (JKCPJ) on Saturday organised the fourth chapter of its "Let's Connect" initiative at Polo Ground Park here, with the programme focusing on mental health awareness, self-discovery and peer support.
The session brought together participants for interactive activities aimed at encouraging self-reflection, emotional expression and meaningful social connections, organisers said.
The participants took part in activities such as "Unique Introduction", "Drawing a River" and the "Ice Water Game", which were designed to promote communication, trust and emotional well-being while strengthening peer support.
JKCPJ Director Nadir Ali said creating spaces where people feel heard and understood is essential for improving mental health.
"Mental health begins with connection. Through 'Let's Connect', we aim to create spaces where people feel heard, understood and empowered to support one another.

Participants said the session helped them better understand themselves while encouraging open conversations about emotional well-being.
Fadil, one of the participants, said the activities offered an opportunity for self-reflection and meaningful interaction.
"Today's session helped me understand myself in a new way. The activities were simple yet meaningful, and connecting with others made me realise that everyone has a story. It was comforting to be part of a space where we could learn, listen and support each other without judgment," he said.
Organisers said the "Let's Connect" initiative seeks to promote mental health awareness, encourage self-discovery and build community-based peer support networks through interactive programmes across Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS).
