Srinagar Nov 12 (KNS): The committee set up for drafting the constitution of Jammu Kashmir Cultural Confederation (JKCC) has finalized the same and is likely to be approved by the members of all organizations to give the final shape to its structure very soon.
In a meeting presided over by Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) President Dr Shujaat Bukhari here Thursday, the constitution giving basic contours of the aims and objectives of the Confederation was finalized incorporating all the views of the members.
The constitution has dealt comprehensively with the challenges being faced by the Kashmiri language in particular and the culture in general, the statement said.
“This broad based concept will help us to rejuvenate the struggle for preserving and protecting the language and cultural at the state level and also connect the Kashmiri speaking people in the entire state” said the participants.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The constitution will now be presented before the representatives of over 50 cultural and literary organisations from Srinagar, South Kashmir, North Kashmir, Pir Panchal, Chenab valley and Jammu in an extraordinary meeting in the third week of November. After the constitution is approved, the Confederation will come into being. “It will be a historical day in the cultural and linguistic history of Jammu and Kashmir” said Dr Shujaat Bukhari after the meeting.
Others who participated in the meeting included Ghulam Nabi Khayal, Prof Farooq Fayaz, Mohammad Amin Bhat (General Secretary AMK), Bhawani Bashir Yasir, Waheed Jeelani, Izhar Mubashir and Ashraf Raavi. (KNS)
