Jammu, Sept 26 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) 8th Battalion is carrying out a two-week-long Cleanliness Drive (Swachhta Abhiyan) at its newly allotted land in Ghou Manhasan, a flood-affected area. The drive is being conducted under the supervision of Suram Singh, JKPS (SSP), Commandant, JKAP 8th Battalion.
Officers and officials of the battalion actively participated in the initiative, which involved clearing debris, removing waste material and polythene, and leveling open areas to improve the surroundings. On the occasion, Commandant Suram Singh appreciated the commitment of all participants and encouraged them to continue such activities regularly. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a clean, green, and healthy environment within the battalion premises as well as in adjoining areas.
The initiative, officials said, also reflects the battalion’s commitment to the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.(KNS).
