Srinagar, Nov 16 (KNS): The Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) is being celebrated throughout the Valley with reverence and religious fervor. 

Jammu and Kashmir Youth Development Forum, on ocassion of Urs e Mubarak of Hazrat-e-Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani distributed food packets, Juice and other eatables to all the believers who thronged to the Shrine on the eve of Urs Mubarak.

The influence of Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) played a critical role in Kashmiri society by spreading moral and Islamic teachings. He has ruled the hearts of Kashmiris since hundreds of years. His message of religion, love, brotherhood and humanity still find resonance with the people. His teachings would hold true and would remain valid always. a prominent social activist from Jammu and Kashmir and founder member of Jammu and Kashmir youth development forum Farooq Ganderbali refrenced on the occasion.

Hazrat e Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) is an epitome of Sufism, his teachings lead to eradication of hate among the communities. From the very recent past Sufism is on revival in Kashmir and It's being speculated that very soon the sufi culture once again will prevail in whole valley.

Meanwhile, the lunch was served to the Intizamia Comitee of the Shrine and all devotees.

On the occasion members of JKYDF paid obeisance, among them President JKYDF, Sheheyar Dar, Ajaz Kawoosi, Zeeshan Dar, Ali Mohammad and Minhaj were present on the occasion. (KNS)
