Srinagar, Jul 24 (KNS): J&K Urdu Council and Deptt of Urdu CUK jointly organized a function to deliberate upon present and possible future plight of official language Urdu in the state.
The function was presided over by Vice Chancellor CUK.
The resolution adopted demands reasonable use of official language in all government offices, adjustment of Urdu in educational set up preferably at primary and secondary levels and filling of Urdu related vacancies at all levels.
Besides others, VC, Director RKS, University Professors, Research scholars, Students, serving and retired government (civil as well as police) officials, Journalists, Writers, literary figures of repute and people representing different walks of life are signatories to subject resolution.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“We make a humble request to please take appropriate action with regard to this resolution and fulfill your constitutional obligations vis-a-vis protection and promotion of official language,” the statement issued to KNS added.
The resolution passed over the official language was sent to the Governor N N Vohra and his advisors. (KNS)
