Express concern over ‘innocent killings, maiming, blinding’

Srinagar, Mar 20 (KNS): All J&K Students Union activists alongwith other students of Peer Panchal region of J&K, Monday staged protest outside the Govt PG Collage Rajouri.
According to the KNS Correspondent, Umar Malik, the students voiced their concern regarding many issues like innocent killings, use of pellets guns, harassment of JK students and discrimination with the students of Peer Panchal in the educational institutes of Jammu and Kashmir.
Aasif Wani, spokesperson of the union on behalf of the union expressed solidarity with the families of killed, maimed, blinded and jailed persons in general and students in particular in Kashmir and condemned the ‘brutalities’ done against them.
He said students of state have suffered the most during the unrest in the valley.
“The hatred and harassment, which JK students are facing outside the valley, is ‘unethical’ and ‘immoral’; every human being should discourage these things and should involve in creating conducive atmosphere where everyone can express him/herself freely,” the spokesperson said
Protestors further showed annoyance towards the step motherly approach towards the students of Peerpanchal region in the Universities of J&K.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Protesting students were holding play card that read; “we are united demanding our rights not concession”, “Stop killings in the name of Nationalism “, “we are not afraid of force, we will speak” and so on.
Intkhab Malik a student activist said, “We the students of J&K are united against violence and exploitation, we are united to break the barriers created by state, to keep us divided” read a statement.
Rehan Mir ,Toheeb Margay, Sikander Lodhi, Azhar Mehmood,and Mohd Sharukh were among active participants and organizers.
President AJKSU Tajamul Imran said, “We will continue resistance against anti youth policies and will put all our efforts to fight this menace.” Meanwhile this was first protest of AJKSU in Rajouri District. Protestors later on dispersed peacefully. (KNS)
