JK RTC Workers Union welcome appointment of Dr Mehta

Srinagar, June 2 (KNS): A delegation led by Chairman Wajahat Hussain today called on newly appointed Chief Secretary of UT of J&K Dr Arun Kumar Mehta in his office at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

Spokesman JKRTC Workers Union Khalid Ahmad Rather in a statement issued to KNS said that RTC Workers Union warmly welcome the appointment of Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta as Chief Secretary of UT of J&K, and  in order  to felicitate and welcome new Chief Secretary a delegation of Workers Union led by its chairman Wajahat Hussain Durrani today met Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta alongwith other leaders which includes General Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Khan and Gh. Nabi Wani president MPS Sgr, in his office at Civil Secretariat.
 The delegation expressed pleasure on  his appointment as Chief Secretary of UT of J&K and termed the decision of Govt as wise appropriate and historic one
,On this occasion of felicitation chairman workers Union said that the employees of Corporation are hopeful that Worthy Chief Secretary who happened to be the Managing Director of JKRTC wayback in 2005 will definitely address the issues of employees of RTC, statement said.

"After patient hearing Worthy Chief Secretary assured the Delegation that the revival of JKRTC would be on priority and every possible steps will be taken to get the corporation out of financial crises, worthy Chief Secretary also assured the leaders that during current finacial year the revamping process of RTC will be intensified and disbursment of monthly salaries and pending retiral benefits of retired employees will be ensured," statement said.
The Delegation expressed happiness and congratulated Worthy Chief Secretary on behalf of office bearers of Workers Union of both regions, officers and employees. (KNS)
