Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lecturers Forum (JKLF) held an emergency meeting at its head office Srinagar under the chairmanship of Dr. Manzoor Ahmad.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the core group members and central executive members of Lecturer's Forum also attended the meet.
A thread bare discussion on the issues the fraternity is facing with, the main focus was the inclusion of running grade (time bound) promotion in favour of Lecturer's in the present budget presented by the Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu on 11th Jan 2018.
The speakers on the occasion thanked FM for the sympathetic consideration towards the main demand of Lecturer's fraternity (running grade).
The other issues which came under discussion were the grant of leave encashment in favour of +2 Lecturer's, regularization of incharge Principal's, incharge Lecturer's at its earliest.
Dr Manzoor in his speech demanded early release of Principal's list which is pending in the department since 2015 due to which number of higher secondaries are without the Principals.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He also demanded the placement of Lecturer's as sr. lecturer's, 40% quota in higher education dept. and higher initial start in favour of highly qualified lecturer's (PhD's & M. phil's).
In this meeting, a working group of 20 members was constituted with the responsibility that they will remain in touch with the basic members of forum at ground level, and the core group members of the forum will remain in touch with the higher authorities of the Administrative department for the formal orders regarding the running grade (time bound) .
In the meeting it was also decided that a team of 3 core members headed by the state president will leave for Jammu next week. For this all the district presidents are informed to contact B. A. Mir Gen. Secretary of J&K Lecturer's Forum for further information and necessary instructions. (KNS)
