Srinagar, Feb 17 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Insaf Party on Friday held its District Committee meeting presided over by District President Mohammad Ramzan Lone.
According to the statement issued to KNS, Insaf Party Secretary General, Ali Mohammad Lone also attended the meeting.
The meeting as per the statement took stock of the prevailing policy of suppression and repression against the freedom loving political leaders, workers and the general public by Indian occupation forces.
Addressing the workers, Ali Mohammad Lone said that the peaceful, political and democratic atmosphere is a distant dream in Jammu Kashmir. “It is extraordinarily difficult for a political platform to continue its activities in presence of armed forces engaged in a war against the common people,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Lone said, “Political workers and the common people face the ire and wrath of the Indian armed forces. They are booked under fabricated and baseless criminal cases and put behind the bars.”
The meeting expressed solidarity with all such prisoners of conscience.
The meeting also condemned the ill designs of the rulers to prolong the illegal detention of senior Hurriyat (G) leader Masarat Aalam Bhat and Tariq Ahmad Dar who was served a punishment of 10 yrs imprisonment by a Delhi court in a baseless case against him.
The meeting resolved that the International Human Rights Organizations should take due measures to eradicate the human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir and help resolution of Kashmir dispute. (KNS)
