Casualties still higher, go for a careful and slow unlock down process

Jammu, June 1(KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress committee Leaders have expressed grave concern over the severe shortage of vaccine for the age group of 18 to 45 years resulting in very slow vaccination besides slow and low testing and tracing and demanded that the government should go for a vigorous campaign especially in the villages and rural belt too, before the antivirus third wave.

In a joint statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), several senior leaders including PCC functionaries, DDCs Presidents, former minister and legislators and Frontal wing heads have expressed grave concern over the shortage of vaccine and slow vaccination as well testing, tracing and treating as well adequate measures to protect the people especially the younger generation and children from the third anticipated wave.

The senior leaders include VICE presidents JKPCC Shri Raman Bhalla, Mula Ram,  Kanta Bhan, Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, General Secretaries Balwan Singh  Yogesh Sawhney, Abdul Majid Wani, Manmohan Singh, Ashok Sharma, Haider Sheikh, Rajnish Sharma I/c Treasurer, Shabir Ahmad Khan, Th Balbir Singh, Th Shiv Dev Singh, Indu Pawar, Th Hari Singh Chib, Vinod Sharma, Ashok Dogra, G L Chalotra, T S Bajwa Ved Mahajan, Krishan Bhagat, ch Abdul Gani, KK Pangotra, Pankaj Dogra,  Sanjeev Sharma, Pawan Raina, Shashi Sharma, Ashwani Puri, Ashok Gupta, Rajesh Malhotra, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Udey Chib, sunny Parihar, Neeraj Gupta, Sanjeev Sharma, Gurdarshan Singh, Suresh Dogra, Gajan Singh Krishan Lal Gupta,  Parveen Sarwar Khan Nadeem Sharief Niaz, Rajeev Saraf, Narinder Gupta, col Swarn Singh, Rajveer Singh, Babal Gupta, Tirth Bhagat
They said that there is an acute shortage of vaccine for the age group of 18-45yrs and the youth are suffering especially in the entire Rural areas of Jammu province.

The testing is very limited that too only rapid testing and not RT-PCR besides almost no tracing and the kits only on choice of the doctors.
All those things which are announced should be implemented practically but there is a huge gap between claims and implementation. The only opening of covid centres in each Panchyat would not serve the purpose unless complete arrangements are made, which is impossible. The Health facilities and manpower in health institutions in rural areas is very scarce to deal with the anticipated situation.
They further added that the government is ignoring the fact that the casualties are still higher and till yesterday the toll was above thirty-five including twenty from the Jammu region and this is not less as several precious lives are lost every day. In this situation, the unlocking process has to be very thoughtful and careful to avoid an increase in the already ongoing risks and not to waste the benefits of the entire lockdown.
Urging the government to solve the issue with the transport operators as the limited unlocking would require the public transport to the common man and poor people besides employees.
They also insisted on starting emergency treatments to non-covid patients in different hospitals and centres than Covid hospitals including in rural areas where no private consultations are available.
The senior Congress leaders laid a thrust on the government to fill the gap in health facilities and vaccination, testing and monitoring in Rural areas and bridge the gap between rural and urban, as rightly said by the apex court of the country.(KNS)
