Srinagar, Sep 24 (KNS): Janta Dal (United) Saturday held demonstration at Srinagar’s press enclave against the human rights violations; innocent killings and use of pellet guns on innocent people and kids including women, old age people in the valley since two months.
The members including the state president of Jdu assembled at Srinagar’s press enclave and chanted slogans in favor of stopping the use of pellet guns in Kashmir.
Condemning the innocent killings in Kashmir, President JDU G M Shaheen while talking to KNS said that the Kashmiris suffered a lot since 1947 especially since the current uprising started.
He said that however India has promised referendum under the United Nations banner, but the opportunity has never been given to the people.
Shaheen suggested both India and Pakistan to use Kashmir as a business hub not for the ground of war. “Besides, Kashmir issue can be negotiated thorough a peaceful dialogue between Kashmir, India and Pakistan,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Commenting on the present regime, Shaheen said “the state government has failed to deliver good governance on ground in the state.”
He said that surprisingly, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti was visiting every nook and corner of the valley, victim families and other needy people, but after taking over as CM she is off the scene.
Shaheen also said that despite claiming as the biggest democratic country in the world, India should stop suppressing the innocent people and should prove their democracy in Kashmir as the killing and maiming the people of Kashmir including children, women and old age is becoming the big question mark on the democracy of India.
He said that the people of Kashmir are peace loving and believes in Insaniyat, Jamhuriyat and Kashmiriyat while as the BJP Govt believes only Communalism, which can never bear any fruit.
Shaheen demanded immediate action against the culprits involved in the innocent killings in Kashmir. (KNS)
