Jammu, July 25 (KNS) : Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Javid Rana, has strongly condemned the firing incident in Jammu that led to the death of a young man, calling it a “shocking tragedy” and urging the authorities to ensure a fair investigation.
Rana said he had already taken up the matter with the top police and administrative officials. “It is a very shocking incident and we condemn it. I have spoken to the Inspector General of Police (IG) Jammu and the administration. They have assured me that an inquiry is being conducted,” he told KNS

Responding to a question about whether any government representative had visited the victim’s family, Rana said he would personally meet them. “I couldn’t go earlier as I had just returned from abroad. But I will definitely visit them tomorrow and speak with the residents as well,” he assured.
Expressing solidarity with the grieving family, Rana said the government will make efforts to support them. “Those we have lost cannot return, but we will try to ensure they get justice and that the damage is rectified to the extent possible,” he said.(KNS)
