J&K Students’ Association demands probe into death of Kashmiri student in West Bengal

 Srinagar June 06 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Students’ Association here on Tuesday has demanded probe into the mysterious death of Kashmiri Student at the Budge Budge Institute of Technology West Bengal Popularly known as BBIT. In a statement National General Secretary of the Association Faizaan Peer said that Association has already contacted the authorities in West Bengal and brought the matter to their attention.

He emphasized the need for a fair investigation into the incident and requested the authorities to intervene in order to ensure that the investigation reaches a logical conclusion. The Association has received assurances of assistance from the authorities, who have promised to provide all necessary support to expedite the investigation.

 

Association has appealed to Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee to constitute a team to probe the mysterious death of the Kashmiri student. Association have also urged the central government to take necessary measures to ensure foolproof security for Kashmiri students across various states in the country. The Association believes that it is crucial to safeguard Kashmiri students from any form of harassment or mistreatment.(KNS)
