My Youth, My Pride Taekwondo, Wushu & Table Tennis Events End on High Note in Kashmir

 The Advance Cricket Coaching Camp, an initiative of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, concluded successfully today at Green Field, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, marking the culmination of an intensive training programme aimed at grooming young cricketing talent.

 
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring boys, who benefited from high-quality coaching under the guidance of nationally and internationally acclaimed cricketers and experienced coaches, including Parvez Rasool, Abid Nabi and Vishwajeet Singh. Special emphasis was laid on technical skill enhancement, physical fitness, discipline and overall game awareness, with focused sessions on batting, bowling and fielding. The initiative provided young cricketers valuable exposure to modern coaching methodologies and a professional training environment, reflecting the immense popularity of cricket across the country and the growing aspirations of young athletes to train under top-quality coaching setups.
 
Meanwhile, the 3-day Taekwondo competition organised under the My Youth, My Pride special sports activities was held at the Multi Sports Complex, Polo Ground, Srinagar, under the supervision of officials from the J&K Sports Council. The competitions witnessed large-scale participation from young athletes, who displayed commendable skill, discipline and competitive spirit. The events concluded on a high note, celebrating emerging talent and reinforcing the importance of sportsmanship and physical fitness among the youth. The primary objective of the programme was to promote a vibrant sports culture and encourage young players to pursue excellence in their chosen disciplines.
 
At the conclusion of the events, winners were felicitated with medals and certificates, acknowledging their achievements and motivating them to strive for higher levels of performance in the future.
 
The J&K Sports Council has been playing a pivotal role in increasing youth participation in sports, with a large number of young athletes coming forward due to Khelo India and PMDP training centres, as well as flagship initiatives like My Youth, My Pride. In line with the J&K Government’s progressive sports policies, access to organised sports platforms has been expanded from urban centres to remote and far-flung areas, ensuring that opportunities in sports are accessible to all.
