 Tral, June 03(KNS): Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB presided over an Awareness Camp at Town Hall Tral Pulwama.

 
 The programme was also attended by Sajad Yehaya Naqash, ADDC Tral,  officers from district administration/banks, senior officers from Board, DDC Members/ PRIs and a large number of aspirant entrepreneurs and educated unemployed youth of the area.
 
 Further, large number of women aspirants were also present during the event. During the progarmme, the officers gave  detailed presentations about the modalities involved in implementation of employment generation programmes viz. PMEGP, JKREGP etc. 
 
The stakeholders were informed that these schemes are online and aspirant entrepreneurs can apply online for availment of financial assistance under these schemes.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat stated that J&K KVIB is working in a focused manner to ensure that the benefits of Employment Generation Schemes viz. PMEGP and JKREGP are percolated among the target population and enjoined upon the prospective entrepreneurs especially women to come forward and channelise their energy for Nation building by establishment of micro enterprises. Hon’ble Vice Chairperson informed that during the financial year 2022-23, Margin Money of Rs. 7.99 crores has been released by J&K KVIB Pulwama for the establishment of 364 units thereby creating employment opportunities for 2282 persons.  
 
She added that during the last three years, margin money of Rs. 43.02 crores involving bank loan of Rs. 116.77  crores have been released in district Pulwama for establishment of 1686 units thereby envisaging employment opportunities for 12294 persons. 
 
She lauded the role and efforts of Board as well as bankers in successful implementation of the scheme at grass-root levels of the district. ADDC Tral informed that there is potential for establishment of micro enterprises in the area and encouraged the participants to come forward and explore the possibility of establishing their own units. He applauded the role of JKKVIB in ensuring easy availability of loan to aspirants. 
 
Earlier, Hon’ble Vice Chairperson assured that every kind of hand-holding support shall be extended to aspirant/ prospective entrepreneurs to ensure hassle free processing of their proposals both at Implementing Agency as well as bank level.(KNS).
